The Shelter 90's Ad

This video was created for a videography class where we were tasked with making a satirical piece. I decided to center mine around a product I designed and built for another class, while also imitating 90s-style TV call-to-action ads. The product, called The Shelter, functions as both a mug holder and a plant container. The name reflects its dual purpose: offering a place to hold life and provide shelter for your mug. Unfortunately, the project was interrupted by the Covid lockdown. It was initially meant to be an opportunity to dive into green screen techniques and audio recording but the equipment was rendered inaccessible due to the pandemic. As my professor suggested, I chose to animate the product using photos. Our sound and video samples were also impacted, but to adapt, I used free-to-use sounds and footage I found online to piece it all together.
